Questions

Conversion chart FAQ

How do I read the mg to units chart?

Find your vial size, then the row for the water you added. Each column is an amount; the number is how many units to draw on a U-100 insulin syringe.

What if my vial or amount isn't in the chart?

Use the calculator at the top of the page. It works for any vial mg, water ml and amount in mg or mcg.

Why does adding more water increase the units?

More water spreads the same mg through more liquid, so each unit holds less. You draw more units to get the same amount.
